I updated my job on Facebook today so its a reality that I only have a few days left at GITI. I have taken time to reflect on the good times I had over the past 10 years. I thank Everyone I had the pleasure of working with at GITI for the times we had. I am getting excited about the future and the job I have in front of me. I got my new WIRED which I started reading, always a few days of new articles to read. I sit her watching the Colbert report and blogging, this could get interesting...
Not my only post today. I woke up early and everyone is still asleep. I wanted to sleep in today Dammit. Well there is always a nap. Going on a walk today with Keri in Shape Ups...
Today we worked in the yard continuing to move river rock from the driveway to the back yard. I cut the fence door to allow easy swing over the rocks. I cut out a rose bush root and moved it so I could lay more weed barrier and rock. I then took a load to the Loudoun County landfill. I stopped at 7-11 in the neighborhood to get gas first and an old man came and asked me if I was headed to the dump. He offered me $10 to carry some tree branches for him to the dump. We followed him to his house and Gerry and I loaded them on the truck. I let Gerry keep the $10. We went to the landfill and dumped the trash. On the way out I noticed the free mulch. I didn't have a shovel though this nice guy let me borrow his spare for a few minutes. I filled 1/2 the Ford Rangers bed with mulch and then we drove home. I showered and changed; then we went to World Market to meet the Cooks. When we got there they had this hammock out front and I tried it. Bad mistake! I fell on my arse in front of the store and it was not pretty, I got up and laughed it off. We left there and headed to the shoe store where I got Sketcher Shape Ups. I cant wait to go on some walks with Keri. The kids got new shoes as well.
We had dinner at Logans and then went to Target to buy a present for Mathews birthday party tomorrow. We ended up getting other stuff the kids didn't need. I had promised Gerry a Lego set they had it was a $100 dollars, Ugh... We are home now and I am looking forward to Fathers Day tomorrow. Out - Scott Welcome to my new Website and Blog! Please keep checking back for writings and posts...
